This video located on our REFERENDUM page is part of an ongoing series started by our Interim Superintendent, Mr. Mark Pease.
Today's feature includes a video interview with CSS Principal, Mrs. Octavia Lee speaking on the proposed changes to the Charles Street Entry & Alarm System.
The proposal includes something to separate our students in their learning environment from an uninvited guest to our building. The best we can hope for is having a safe school for both students and staff together. Many improvements proposed for the Charles Street School in the Bond Referendum come from a theme of Safety Improvements to our aging building. They include (but are not limited to):
- A new full-building Fire Alarm System
- A new MAIN entrance that will include a Security Vestibule (aka: Mousetrap)
- Replacement of aging classroom doors to be safety compliant
- Renovation of student & staff bathrooms
