Art Club

A high school after-school club open to Palmyra students in grades 9-12. There are no skill requirements for club participation, just a desire to express yourself in a host of different mediums. Along with personal art journaling, club members will participate in group & individual art service & beautification projects, as well as promotional projects throughout the district.
Art Club's mission is to explore the creative world, explore design in its many forms, & to work towards sustainable, long-term installations with an emphasis on using recycled materials wherever possible. We have a relaxed atmosphere that will meet 1-2 times a month, where students work together, play music, & make art.
Black Student Union

As a student group, dedicated to the uplifting of black students, inclusion and social justice, the PHS BSU will encourage students to examine our community and ourselves to work to improve the black student experience at PHS. The intent of the Black Student Union is to create an atmosphere that focuses on promoting the social, cultural and academic well-being of all students regardless of cultural background or race.
Our goal is to expand the understanding of the issues in today’s society through the lens of culture and history.
The most important objective of the PHS Book Club is to foster a love for reading. Students will read without fear of being tested afterwards.
Reading will, therefore, be purely for recreation, for entertainment, for relaxation, for information, and for many other reasons, aside from being evaluated. The book titles are decided by students and the discussion that follows is also student driven. Hence, membership is for students in grades 9-12th.

The chess team is open to everyone, from beginner to competitor, and begins meeting once a week on Tuesdays starting in October.
During the competitive season (November-February), the team will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30-4:00.
Together we will learn new strategies, compete against other schools, and grow our chess skills.

The Environmental Science Club is open to all students that share a common interest in science and environmental issues. Our objective is to encourage environmental responsibility and to provide a place for students to share ideas and discuss environmental concerns and conservation. Activities include lab activities, fundraising, documentary film days with discussion, and community clean-up trips.
Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA)

Future Business Leaders of America is the Student Technical Career Organization (CTSO) for the Finance CTE program. All students enrolled in the first course, Business Law and Introduction to Business, will be eligible to participate. The meetings will be held monthly and the following leadership positions will be available: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Reporter. Students participating in the CTSO will also have the opportunity to participate in a Work Based Learning Experience with a local business and take an end of program assessment.
The Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is the Student Technical Career Organization (CTSO) for the Health Sciences CTE program. All students enrolled in the first course, Introduction to Sports Medicine, will be eligible to participate. The meetings will be held monthly and the following leadership positions will be available: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Reporter and Historian. Students participating in the CTSO will also have the opportunity to participate in a Work Based Learning Experience with a local business and take an end of year assessment.

Interact is Rotary International’s service club for young people. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but they are self-governing and self-supporting. PHS’s Interact Club is sponsored by Moorestown Rotary
Each year, the club completes many local community service projects and at least one international project to promote understanding and goodwill. Through these efforts, Interact members develop a network of friendships with local and overseas clubs and learn the importance of:
Developing leadership skills and personal integrity.
Demonstrating helpfulness and respect for others.
Understanding the value of individual responsibility and hard work.

National Honor Society

Membership in the National Honor Society is one of the highest honors that can be awarded to a high school student. Membership is based on the student's outstanding achievement in character, scholarship, leadership and service.
The student must be a member of the school community at least one semester prior to applying. For additional information and criteria, please refer to the Student Handbook.
Palmyra Gay Straight Alliance Club (GSA)

The GSA club will give our students a safe place to express themselves freely.
The GSA's goal is to change the culture of the building to a more accepting place for all people no matter their sexual or gender preferences. This is a student lead organization where students decide what they want to learn and discuss. Students will go on field trips, bring in speakers and hold social and special events. The GSA will help foster students' social and emotional needs. The goal of the club is to support, educate and advocate.
If you like acting, singing, & dancing, then this group is for you. Students in grades 6-12 are welcome to enjoy this music and theatre club.
If you are more of a behind-the-scenes type, then join our Stage Crew division!
Meetings/rehearsals normally take place on Friday afternoons or Wednesday evenings in the PHS auditorium. A March showcase is the final product of the season’s hard work and fun!

Panthers with Heart is a group that organized themselves and executes various community service projects throughout the school year.
It gives students in 9-12 the opportunity to develop the ability to

RISE Peer Mentoring

RISE (Real Impact Student Empowerment) was started by (now alumni), Kaya Robinson '20, as a peer mentoring group that met once a week. The purpose of this club is to help identify HS students that could meet with MS students regularly as mentors. These meetings could consist of homework help, games, academic or social/emotional concerns. RISE offers our students a safe environment to interact with each other and support each other through the many trials and tribulations they face throughout their MS and HS career.
Robotics Club

The robotics club is open to any student interested in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Students will meet after school to design, build and program a robot for entry into the first tech challenge robotics competition. Traveling competing team members will have to apply through FTC and the Palmyra Robotics Club; however, all levels and grades are welcome and encouraged to participate in all team meetings after school. Students may join various sub-teams such as the build team, programming team, marketing/fundraising team, and website development based on their interest. Interested students should see one of the advisors in September to fill out an application.
This society is open to students enrolled in Spanish 2 classes or higher who fulfill the G.P.A. requirement. Our objective is to celebrate Spanish language and culture through community service activities, fundraisers and field trips. We work with the CSS students for Spanish culture days, we have guest speakers, take trips to Spanish restaurants, have taco sales and taco eating contests, piñata parties, and help raise donations for charities abroad.

Volleyball Club

If you want to learn, practice or improve your volleyball skills, Palmyra Volleyball Club is here for you! Our club is open to all eligible students who want to play in a fun, stress-free environment that accepts everyone at any level. Through dynamic drills and playing with peers, you will learn how to bump, set, spike, serve and move as a team on the court. You only have to attend one practice a month to stay a member; however, attendance is expected every practice for you to gain momentum, improve your skills, and contribute to our team atmosphere.
The Palmyra Weightlifting Club is open to all eligible 9-12 grade students. The purpose of the club is to engage students who may not necessarily like traditional sports (soccer, baseball, football, etc.), but still enjoy team aspects of training. Working to teach student athletes proper form/technique of main lifts, as well as how to write strength and conditioning programs, and to teach student athletes the importance of healthy dieting and its contribution to overall well-being.
If you enjoy taking pictures, interviewing your peers, and editing and designing creative and expressive layouts, then Yearbook Club is for you! The primary goal of Yearbook Club is to join together as a creative staff to produce a unique and distinctive volume of the Tillicum, Palmyra's long-standing high school yearbook. You will be required to attend activities outside of the school day, such as a sporting events, school dances, and other school-related functions to snap photos and write journalistic copy that describes and memorializes your school year. This club is offered to students in 9th-12th grades and helps to hone your team building, collaborative and creative skills!
