PALMYRA will now be EXPANDING our PRESCHOOL PROGRAM in October!
Dr. Brian McBride, Superintendent of Palmyra School District and Mrs. Octavia Lee, Principal of Charles Street School, were overjoyed to get the news today at noon that our Application for Preschool Aid was accepted!
This means that our existing inclusive program that has been in place for over 30 years is getting a major boost! We will now expand to 3 classes of FULL DAY (6 hour) preschool for both 3-and-4-year-olds that will include the students with individual education plans and typical-needs students! The lottery will be held from those that applied by the August 31 deadline to be included in this first round of the expansion shortly. (We were awaiting news of the award before we could run the lottery)
