Happy Tuesday Palmyra, we truly are winding down our 2021-2022 athletic events with the NJSIAA State Championships this coming weekend. Here is a look at how we did last week:
The Baseball team traveled to South Amboy for its NJSIAA Playoff Game. The Panthers held tough until the 6th inning. Jason Strickland, Connor Falicki and Luke Reigel all had hits for the Panthers. Joe Elmes pitched 5 innings and struck out 9. The boys finished the season with an 8-8 record.
The Boys and Girls Track and Field Teams defeated Burlington City High School on Tuesday. The wins earned both the Boys and Girls Track Teams the BCSL Independence Division Championships for both teams! Congrats! On Friday and Saturday, the Boys and Girls Track Teams competed at the NJSIAA South Jersey State Sectional Meet at Buena High School.
Top 10 finishers were Elizabeth McCarron and Cadence Anderson in the 3200. Keronja Watson in the 400 hurdles and Abdul Iyiola in the 400 also finished in the top 10 in South Jersey Group 1. Two students will be representing Palmyra at the NJSIAA Group 1 State Championships this weekend. Heather Adams in the Girls discus and Abdul Iyiola in the 400 hurdles will represent PHS.
Come out to Pennsauken High School to cheer them on this weekend in the Group 1 State Championships!
