From the desk of Dr. McBride:

You all did it!!! Job well done!

We embarked on a new journey this week to provide our students & families with robust learning using unfamiliar formats & remote learning techniques – I could not be more proud of our students & the work our entire school family accomplished this week.

Throughout the week I received numerous updates from administrators, board members, & parents about the amazing ideas & creative solutions being implemented to not only grab the attention of students, but to inspire them to continue learning through the week.  Students “arriving to class” before their teacher, students reading books, teachers recording & reading books, & students sharing pictures of their “home classroom” are just some of the many examples provided to me about the ingenuity & passion for learning that is occurring in this new normal.

Beginning on Monday, district operations for essential staff is being reduced to Mondays only from 9 am – 1 pm.  The team will work Tuesday-Friday remotely and will be available during typical business hours.  Email remains the best method for reaching district staff at this time.  The change in hours in district facilities is in direct response to the stepped-up safe distancing protocols & reports of increasing infection rates of COVID-19.

I wish you a safe & relaxing weekend & hopefully a little respite from the hectic pace of the past several weeks.  Wishing you all the best!
